Her district is so ultra-left.... the republicans would never unseat her. If you ran a pile of excrement and put a (D) next to it, it would win.

It can happen sometimes. In Hamburg in 2001 in example. The Social Democrats ignored the crime and drug plague, till nearly everybody in the city was affected. The city looked basically like some bad areas of LA or San Francisco with the homeless, the trash and the drugs. There was a judge with his movement who collected the far right and a moderate conservative who balanced the coalition to make it acceptable for the majority of people. And it was over for years with social democrats. Say never never.

Sadly, this is very likely the case in this situation. Especially, with a large majority of the potential voters being strongly against President Trump.
