Title: "rights"
Post by: newman on November 09, 2007, 01:06:27 PM
Conservative educator and radio host Charles Brooks once said.......

"There are NO gay rights, Womens rights, black rights, or any other special group of rights. There are only 'human' rights that are the entitlement of everyone regardless of sex, race or sexual preferrence".

Wise man, ol' Chuckie. :)

Correct.

He meant that there were NO "special label" rights. Human rights are the same for gay/straight, black/white.

Example:

We ALL (gay/straight or otherwise) have the right to be left alone and not persecuted for our beliefs or "recreational activities" performed with consenting adults in private. However, NOBODY (gay/straight or otherwise) has the right to demand acceptance.
