Title: Plagiarism
Post by: RationalThought110 on November 13, 2007, 09:30:50 PM
I have to give a paragraph summary of an article and then give an analysis of how the event(s) in it will affect things.

Databases like ProQuest already provide a summary.  So is it wrong to use some of the same content in a summary that a database like proquest uses?

Darn, I thought this was a thread about Martin Luther King Jr.  ;)  The best and easiest way to get around this is simply to quote/state your source.  No problems there.  Every author does it... :)

Just put an asterisk at the end crediting the source of your material, and you won't have to worry.

p.s.--never seemed to hurt Senator Joseph Biden's career!   :::D

Its like using any major referencing footnote and acknowledge and site for source its not  plagiarism . Exactly the same way you would write any report of Uni or Collage.

But if you now the events, then doing your own work is better of course.
