No they don't, at least that's not what the article said. The article said that they think the legal system is racist because they are charging him with first degree murder, which usually requires premeditation, intent, and malice aforethought. There's nothing in there that says that they claimed the homeowner was racist for shooting the robbers.
The title of your thread is very misleading.

I don't think it's necessary to charge this thug with first-degree murder, on this, I agree with the NAACP. It's sufficient that he's charged with burglary, assault, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon (the baseball bat), or even possibly attempted murder for the beating of the boy. There's no need to charge him with murder of his accomplices, his "friends" already paid the ultimate price for what they did.

It's unthinkable that in the year 2007 homeowners would not roll out a red carpet of welcome for would be thieves and murderers. The filthy baboons got just what they deserve and the surviving black savage should continued to be prosecuted for murder. That is an excellent law. The homeowner needs to go to target practice school there is no reason the third guy should have got away. He is now costing the taxpayers of California money.

I would say that it's a good law if baboons are likely to stop before they take part in anything that can "reasonably lead to other's deaths" because they know that they can potentially be charged with murder, but these savages don't think before they do anything.

Fine, the NAACP believes THE LAW is racist.
In any case, I'm glad two of those hoodlums are dead and the remaining goblin is being charged with murder. Maybe it will make these hoodlums think twice before going on robberies.

Ignorance of the law is no excuse.........anyone guilty of such a crime should be summarilly shot, as it is this animal will be living off your taxes for the rest of its life.
I think this is a good law...if you can prove someone broke into your home like that and you were unable to make things right at the time you should be able to just follow it up by going over to where they live and shooting them, kind of like deer season, open season.....if this were done there would be an incredible reduction in the burglary rate don't you think?
