According to the Jewish Calendar, the year is 5768.
According to the Chinese calendar, the year is 4705.
That means that for 1,063 years the Jews went without Chinese Food.
Those were known as the Dark Ages.

I thought the dark ages were the years prior to 1948 when the muSSlims and Europeans couldn't blame Israel for all their problems.

I'm just joking with you, Tzvi.
Chinese food most likely became a staple of the American Jewish diet in the 1960's, when restrictions on Chinese immigration were loosened. Consequently, they set up shop close to the former Jewish ghettos in the inner city (being populated/destroyed by you-know-whom).

They blamed the Jews, and muslims blamed non muslims.

All kosher restaurants are open too, not just kosher Chinese restaurants.
More food? That's good to know! :)

1948 on The Jewish Calendar was the year Abraham was born.
But I don't think the Gregorian calendar has any significance, so I don't know how significant that date really is...
