Bob Weiss, director of guide dog training gets a kiss from Boe the black lab during the firing of guns rear at the Brookhaven National Laboratory Police shooting range getting Boe accustomed to the sounds of combat. Sgt. Mike Calaway holds Boe. Boe wears earphones. Calaway will return to serve in Iraq with Boe for the Iraq therapy dog program. The trained therapy dog goes through a training course of listening to shooting. Dogs are from Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind in Smithtown and will be used in Iraq for troops in combat.  Wearing 'dogles' Boe the black lab after the firing of guns at the Brookhaven National Laboratory Police shooting range getting Boe accustomed to the sounds of combat. Calaway will return to serve in Iraq with Boe for the Iraq therapy dog program. The trained therapy dog goes through a training course of listening to shooting.
