http://www.shamash.org/kosher/
You can just enter the name of a city or a metro, and it will give you a whole list of restaurants.
-
Who is the site run by?

http://www.shamash.org/about.shtml

It's not a Frum organizaton. I would not trust the web site.
-
I also found this one:
http://www.kosher-ny.com/
I think it's always a good idea to call the place beforehand and ask them if they're glatt kosher or what have you.

On that Kosher New York web site, you can check a restaurant by the hashgacha:

;D , many say they are glatt kosher. I know some who say they are glatt, but they dont have the proper Hashgafa, and in truth dont know the rules involved not only with meat, but also with bugs in the vegetables (which must be properly removed).

It's not a Frum organization. I would not trust the web site.
They say it is up to the individual people to verify whether the restaurant is actually kosher. The database is simply made up of what people submit. Anyone can submit a restaurant or update existing restaurants. They say who does the hashgacha and it is up to people to decided if they trust the particular hashgacha.
I would still never trust a non-Frum site as far as Kashrus. This site seems much more reliable:

I was at the one in New Rochelle. I think they have one in Cedarhurst too.
You're not talking about Cho-sen Island, are you? (on Central Ave., it's technically in Lawrence)

This post made me hungry. Useful link. I'd love to try all these restaurants. Maybe we can have a future JTF meeting at one of them. O0
