I wish I can but gun control here prevents me from carrying a firearm.
-
being under 18, presents problems in obtaining firearms
-
No, I have little ones here and I'm afraid of them finding it. The news reports about children finding guns, mistakenly firing them, and killing themselves or other children scares me to death. I may get a tazer when my husband is deployed though.

I dont carry, the gun is in the house all the time unless Im going to the range

I definitely hear your concern. A tazer is a good alternative.
Does you husband carry a firearm when he is back home?

Yes, what's that got to do with anything?

I think as long as criminals are running packing every human being in this country has the rights to be protecting themselves. But in NYC the stupid gun control laws actually punish decent citizens from not protecting themselves, families, homes and businesses.
-
I carry a Glock 30 with two extra mags in an butt forward holster. That is the only one I am telling you about 8)

Newman, and anyone else...Why is it that some whites think that every black person knows each other? NO. I don't have an idea of who "Bad" Leroy Brown was. Jeez. I was born in 1974. (Which will make me 34 on Friday... ) I hope that .32 helped him out...or something... *don't know what you want me to say. He sounds like a hood.*

He was referring to a song by Jim Croce "BAD BAD LEROY BROWN!"

Maybe your folks knew him.
Apparently the downtown ladies all used to call him 'treetop lover' because he stood about 6'4".

Well Erica, let me tell you a little bit more about him..... 8;)
well south side of Chicago
Is the baddest part of town
And if you go down there, you better just beware
Of a man named Leroy Brown
Now Leroy he's trouble
he stod about six feet four
All the downtown ladies call him: "treetop lover"
All the studs they call him Sir
He's bad, bad Leroy Brown
baddest man in the whole damn town
Badder that old King Kong
And He's Meaner that a junkyard dog
Now Leroy he's a gambler
And he likes his fancy clothes
He likes to wave his diamond ring(s)
In front of everybody's nose
He's got a custom Continental
He's got an Eldorado too
He's got a 32 gun in his pocket for fun
He's got a razor in his shoe
Yeah He's bad, bad Leroy Brown
baddest man in the whole damn town
Badder that old King Kong
And Meaner that a junkyard dog
well Friday - 'bout a week ago
Leroy shootin' dice
And at the edge of the bar, sat a lady named Doris
umm she sure looked nice
Well he layed his eyes upon her
and the trouble soon began
And Leroy Brown he learned a lesson 'bout messin'
With the wife of a jealous man
Yeah He's bad, bad Leroy Brown
baddest man in the whole damn town
Badder that old King Kong
And Meaner that a junkyard dog

I don't know if you could tell by my responses, New Yorker but I really didn't care. I am not impressed by violence.

Here is the story and song - http://youtube.com/watch?v=ru5exYqe5_M

No to many paperwork, and money to obtain it, without the second license to carry it, its useless and the law concerning the gun use make you; not criminal gulty until you prove otherwise... I carry the pocket knife though...
-
I have a concealed permit (got it right after my 21st b-day) however rarely bring it (most of the time leave it in my car or leave it in my kitchen). Also living in the southwest unless the law changed i believe it is legal to carry as long as it is not concealed without a special permit.
All in all i have a 9mm beretta and DE .50 for handguns. 12gauge, 22, and a .300 Winchester Magnum... No assault rifles yet. Not really into them and only go to the range for target practice not to lose my paycheck buying ammo. Been thinking about one lately though.
-
I always carry
-
I have no gun, because it is very difficult to get one in my country. But I carry a hunting knife. Mostly I use it to open packages, but it will do good work on a Muzzie too. :)

;D they have some great knife companys in Germany

I conceal carry mine everywhere, getting a nice SIG P220 as my next carry gun.
Currently concealing a H&K USP .45 with 3 (12) round magazines. I've got a Galco belt holster and two mag pouches.

More kids die in car accidents, drowning, and falling than they do with guns.

I live in NYC so I don't carry/own a gun.

If your studying to be a Doctor when you graduate you can get one.My Dr. had a few because of certain drugs he had in his office were very tempting to addicts

The fact so few members of JTF conceal a gun is worrying in it's self, I wonder what the percentage of members are that own a gun? Even if it's very difficult or troublesome to get a firearm, members should definitely look into getting one no matter what. We don't want to end up like Jews during the Holocaust again do we?
I'm guessing the majority of members live in NYC or some liberal state, if you like in Wisconsin, DC, or Illinois, it's impossible to conceal a gun, however it's still possible (though difficult) in NYC to get a concealment permit.
For those of you in NY or NYC, read this
http://www.carryconcealed.net/legal/newyork-ccw-state-laws.php
Get your CCW as long as you have a chance.
-
I wish I could!
-
Liberal gun control in iceland >:( >:( No carryin guns expect for hunting in hálendi which is a completely uninhabitable area of Iceland
-
I rarely carry because I work in education and it is illegal where I live to be on a campus and have a gun unless you are law enforcement.
-
You will want to buy the amunnition before it changes over the to the new ammunition which will be one that only lasts for three months and then goes bad.
-
I wear my gas pistol.
-
One in my pocket as I type.. I carry concealed a .45 or 9mm in the city and .44 in the woods. I am going to switch to .45 for urban carrying, as I think its more effective manstopper than my 9mm, the extra 5 rounds in the 9mm are not a great advantage to me, considering what it lacks in power.
-
The concealed carry permit is useful for more than defending yourself. It's helped me more than once when I needed two forms of identification, and was money well spent.
-
Practicing at the gun range. Should I put my target paper on my door? Hmmm...I guess this season would fit right into bieng weird enough to do it.
-
This weekend I kept a G17, with arms reach.
I used to have a Navy Sig 226. For carry.
Low profile Novak night sights.
Always ran well.
Good shooter.
Not allowed at work...
Not allowed at gov. buildings.
The state capital does not allow carry.
Other than that, I can carry anywhere in the state.
No Permit.

I wouldn't trust myself though, with a gun.

I keep it with a loaded mag, but an empty chamber.
1st, it was strange taking it with me.
Over the years, the gun has changed and I have become used to carrying.
Draw is a little slow, but the blue guns help.
Their weight is not to far off the real thing.
Great Training tool. Take downs, carry(takes a bit to work it out), grip training, and some trigger control drills.
If you are going to do some trigger drills(Empty case on your front site, as an example), I would start with blue.
Than work up to a real, Unloaded, gun.
http://www.blueguns.com/ (http://www.blueguns.com/)
When you carry, there are a ton of options. Belly pack, all sorts of holsters, thunderware(for the brave), and now you can get jackets and shirts for your carry.
Its not a bad idea to start with a blue gun. Decide the best carry for you. And drill a lot.
Draw, present, holster. I would suggest at 500 times. Before you go out.
