Eat every other day. On the fast day, only have fruits, vegetables, and a something like a SlimFast shake.

Hmmm Not a healthy long term choice mate.

Yes, Skippy. I knew someone would say that, but I did a Google search and apparently fasting may be considered healthy sometimes.

Fasting may be healthy, but not every other day. Your body needs fuel regularly, or else it goes into startvation mode and holds on even more aggressively to the existing fat. If you deprive your body of necessary food, you will most likely end up losing muscle, as opposed to fat, which will also slow down your metabolism.

Yes, good point, not a complete fast. I really mean low calorie. O0

My idea of not eating breakfast is better. Worked for me.

No I can't agree at all. Its fasting is far from healthy, eating small amounts of healthly food through out the day is far better for the body than lack of food.
If you maintain a good low fat, low sugar diet then you have no need to be on diet.
Its classed here as the health heart lifestyle.

I agree with comments against fasting.
note that if you had a lots of fruits and veg and slimfast shakes it would not be much of a fast. When I know what I am going to eat, I eat more (for me eating more is good).
I have more of a fast unintentionally.. If I get up, skip breakfast, go to work, eat a few sandwiches. HAve some poor excuse for a dinner, watch some tv/browse net, and go to bed! Actually that is what most people end up doing unfortunately. Odd that so many are fat.
