In a sense, Buchanan lost his nerve at the end of this piece, where he reviews other places on Earth where the same logic applied at Kosovo could create a hot-spot of conflict.  Buchanan failed to mention the growth of hardcore Hispanic nationalism stacked atop an exploding Hispanic populations in the American southwest.
