P.S. let me know if this question is too loaded, or too biased. I tried to include all opinions.

Iran's president visited there within the past few weeks.

Yeah, I think we'll see more of that in the upcoming years.

We can't leave until it's secure. If we leave then it becomes another middle east terrorist state that would mean all of our troops died for absolutely nothing. We can't let that happen.

We could pull out if we cleaned up Iran first. Then we would not have to worry about them coming into Iraq.

Then just bomb the nuclear reactors from the air.
Agreed. They need to deal with it sooner or later. The later they wait the more complicated it gets.

It really is counter productive to even think of leaving Iraq anytime soon. For years the Pentagon has wanted a foothold in that part of the world. I strongly believe that from day one of the war in Iraq the Pentagon has had its eye on Iran. As things are now we are basically fighting forces in Iraq controlled by Iran. For all practical purposes we are already at war with Iran as we speak. Unless we have no intention of ever dealing with Iran and its ambitions we really should not consider leaving Iraq. If this country was to have started in Iran we would have faced a tougher enemy from the start. The way things are now we have men and equipment on the ground ready to support any air operations over Iran. Any full scale air operations over Iran would most likely need ground forces to control the situation from spreading into a regional conflict.

For everybody who voted for the second one, Iraq is never going to be self-governing! It's a bunch of Muzzies!!!!!

Easier said then done. Consider the consequences, if Israel attacked Iran the U.S would have to join. Then Syria gets in it. Then Hezbollah attacks Israel.
Also, Iran is no Iraq. This will be no walk in the park invasion. Get ready to be drafted if this happens.

Yes.. people forget that the Muhlahs would be much harder to bring down than the Sadaamites. But regardless of which country we go after, the result will still be the same.... that the majority of the violence and bloodshed will come after the fall of the government when the Islamic paramillitary groups try to take over.
To me the issue of Iraq is not an easy one. Not securing it means creating an Islamic state and signing our own death warrant, whereas attempting to secure it is like trying to herd cats. No one will cooperate since we are dealing with Muzzles, and it seems completely pointless.
