I don't remember what kind my synagogue uses, but a lot of them have really nice illustrations.

The ones with pictures are not Megillot (Scrolls). They are just books with the texts of The Megillah. Megillot are just scrolls with only words.

can the ones with the pictures be read? are they kosher?
