has anyone ever noticed that kol nidre falls on a thursday night and that yom kippur is never on sunday?

;D I thought this was a thread about Yom Kippur being similar to Purim. Because Yom KIpur is the day like PURim. Which comes to teach us the power of today. Very powerful day. Very special ecpecially when we the Mitzvot of the day (Megillah, charity (or food) to at least 2 poor people, having the proper meal, prayer being even more soo answered today and learning Torah.

Listining now, Rabbi Wallerstein says Purim is greater then Yom Kippur, because on Purim G-d wrote that we are dead, its over, .... so theirs isn't stronge judgement on the Jews. (He says it much better on his latest lecture though).

Kol Nidre can never fall out on a Thursday Night. Yom Kippur can never fall the day before or after Shabbat because then there would be 2 days in a row where you couldn't cook and you couldn't light the candles the night in between. It can also never fall on a Tuesday so Hoshana Rabba won't be Shabbat, so we will be able to do the seven hoshanot which is not allowed on Shabbat.
intersting especially the tuesday comment..didn't know that.
