He has the complete backing of the South African Communist Party (which all ANC government representatives are members of) and Cosatu (the huge communist trade union in South Africa) and the ANC Youth Organization (also communists).

Never before have we had a figure like Jacob Zuma who has such strong communist support!

The soviets started with strong communists....and each new leader, was a little moreweak (less communist-if you can say it like that)...up to the point where all communist blood was pretty much dead.

But in SA, we go from far leftist, to fringe leftist. So we are going from communist leaders, to fanatical communism. >:(

we have a similar problem here in the States ;)
Not quite as far to the left... but a lot farther than some people such as myself feel comfortable with!
