I actually tried whisky flavored ice cream in Italy. Wasn't bad at all, had a hint of sting of the whiskey but still cool from the ice cream.

And of course its the home of gelato, which is a lot creamier then regular ice cream.

I have only tried the Boston place once last summer and it was great. I didn't know what to order since everything looked good, so I told them to give me a large with as much thrown in as possible, LOL. I have to try it again this summer. I went to the one out at Roosevelt Field. MW, if you could get a BBQ for the summer going, I'll bring a cake from here. O0

OOh I like Gelato! It's the greatest!!
Mills, a true Gelataria serve their gelato in something simular to a waffle cone but its thinner then what they have here in America, some times the cone has an Amaretto flavor to them. It's very nice with the gelato melting a bit.
(Heh, Italians cornered all sorts of cuisine from appetizers to the desserts and coffee) :P

I've been meaning to try that Gelato. I have to get around to it. O0

Since flying to Italy for one maybe a high price budget for a cone, there is always Little Italy's Ferrara. Also something yummy if you are not allergic to nuts is called Torone its a candy made of almonds. Not very sweet but very good.

Happy to say that Italians nailed dessert down flat.. I mean you have canolli with a shot of espresso after your dinner it is the best compliment to end a nice meal.
Psst Bacci ball is still played by the old timers

Phil Rizzuto loved canollis, G-d bless him. O0
