Title: Report of The JTF Meeting At The Israel Day Parade and Concert
Post by: Lisa on June 01, 2008, 06:44:39 PM
I had the pleasure of meeting Madeline for the first time today.  She did a GREAT job handing out JTF flyers at the Israel Day parade/concert.  She really has that knack for approaching people.  I also met the wonderful Dr. Dan for the first time.

And it was great seeing CJD, Hail Columbia, DownwithIslam and Yacov again.

Great!  :)

Do you have an image of the flyer you can share with us?

I'd like to see what they look like...

Actually Archie, they were just printouts of the JTF.org web site.  So if you go there and check it out, you'll see exactly what we handed out.

Madeline should be made an honorable winged member for spreading the jtf message to people. Unfortunately I was in a rush as I have been for quite some time so I was only able to stay for the jtf meeting. I wish I could of helped out at the parade and concert but I had something very important to do this afternoon.

It was great meeting Lisa, DWI, Madeline, CJD for the first time and talking to Yaacov and getting to know him today as well.

Madeline is awesome!  She is an activist for a movement called American Congress for Truth; AmericanCongressForTruth.com.  If anyone here in the NY area experience some shadiness by any Islamics out there, she would be the one to go to in order to do some investigating.  Am I right about this, Madeline?

It was a great day and I must say we do have some great people here at JTF. It was wonderful seeing Lisa again and I finally got to meet Yacov, Dr. Dan, DWI, Hail Columbia and Madeline. Madeline was the star of the show when it came to getting our fliers into the hands of the spectators she was the best at it hands down. Not only did she pass the fliers out but even managed to have a small discussion about what we stand for at JTF in the process. She was just great O0 Dr. Dan and Lisa made sure we had the fliers to pass out. All and all it was a great event.

i hope that next year, more of you, NYers and people who can, come to the Parade..It was a beautiful day and a great parade and really...it's nice to meet and greet everyone. Honestly...JTF is small now, but, Gd willing will grow.  I think it would be great for peopel on the forum here who are nearby or who can come this way to join us in the future.  Really, just to socialize and share ideas if anything.  It's great to put a face next to a name and make connections outside of JTF. Nothing like a close knit family of great people to start..and I do believe that the more we get the future to meet up the stronger the bond and the stronger the desire to grow. After today, I feel even more motivated and determined for JTF and its ideas to spread.

JTF is not small but unfortunately most of our NY members did not show up. Its tuff to come out and even I was in a rush and only came for the jtf get together. It was short but I have to say it was worth the drive to meet everyone. I can think of sooo many NYers who are on this forum. Jtf is not small and I think we would of had a very large crowd had all our NY members shown up. It was great meeting everyone today though.

:'( I'm so disappointed that I had to miss meeting all of you today. I had to work but I'm planning on making sure I'm off next year.
God willing.

Hey Masterwolf, I wish I could of met you today. I am sure the meeting would of been even greater had you been there. Maybe we will meet in the future.

Wow, I love all the applause I'm getting even though I'm starting to blush a bit  ::).  Yes, I am active with American Congress for Truth and I have reported suspicious Muslim activities to the police on a number of occasions.  If you want help in going after a Muslim for hate speech or threatening behavior, contact me through the forum and I'll do what I can to help you get it prosecuted.  I can't promise you we will always get what we want from officials, but my colleagues and I are learning how to work the system and to turn Muslim aggression back on them.

In London, in a couple of weeks there will be a Salute to Israel parade. I'm not going - will any London members be coming?

JTF is NOT small at all. If you have unofficial and informal meetings like this, only a handful of people show up. If we had formal and planned meetings, we would get a good turnout. The people who came to that meeting are not even 1% of JTFers. When we had formal meetings, we had very good turnouts. This forum is NOT small at all, and most JTF supporters are not even registered on the forum.

Terrific idea, Dr. Dan.  I think face to face contact is an important way for organizations to grow in strength and motivation.  Why don't we arrange another meeting where JTf'ers can just sit down and talk?  It could be at the same cafe at 964 Lexington Avenue, which was kosher, I believe.  Manhattan would still be good, since it is central.  As for a meeting time, my preference would be Sunday afternoon or evening, but let's see what works for the majority who want to attend.

I'm going to re-post this separately so that more people will see it.

To everybody who went,

I'm so sorry I didn't go! I was helping a friend move in the morning, so we went to the U-B-Haulin' to rent a truck. Good G-d, three of the melangianas showed up late to work, one on the register, and 40 people waiting on line. We ended up being there for 2 hours, AND we were one of the first ones there, before the place opened!! So that dilemma screwed me on making the meeting.

BUT - we shouldn't have to wait once a year to meet each other (at least not the New York chapter). Why don't we set up a meeting some time soon? We'll pick a day when most don't have commitments..

remember, it's just informal any of these meetings..just to meet and greet.

But Chaim is right.  When there is a formal meeting with an agenda, Gd willing, there will be a huge turn out.

You're not interested in JTF meetings.

Wrong.  Chaimfan is a wonderful JTF'er.  And I'm sure he would have loved to meet the others if he was in New York.
