Uproar on Sport Book's Omission of Munich Murders
(IsraelNN.com) Science, Culture and Sport Minister Raleb Majadele (Labor) was sharply criticized Sunday by Kadima Minister Ruhama Avraham for the omission of the murder of Israeli athletes in Munich in a ministry book on the history of sports in Israel. Although the book is called "60 Years of Israeli Sports," the Sports Minster explained that it deals only with the last decade and therefore does not include the massacre of 11 athletes at the 1972 Olympics.
However, he said he would investigate why special mention was not made of the terrorist attack.
