Police fear wave of violence against Arabs in wake of Jerusalem terror attack

Jerusalem police have boosted their presence in the East Jerusalem neighborhood of Sur Baher, in the wake of Wednesday's terror attack in the capital.
Hussam Duwiyat, 30, was shot dead by security forces after stealing a bulldozer from the construction site where he was working and plowing into a bus and a number of cars on Jaffa Street in downtown Jerusalem, killing three people and wounding dozens.

Police fear possible violent retaliation acts aimed at Arab residents of Duwiyat's neighborhood, as his family were ordered to keep their mourning on a low profile and to dismantle a mourning tent they had set up to mark his death.
Following specific intelligence tips and relying on past experience of unrest, police were preparing for disorderly conduct on the part of extreme rightists, who have also announced their intention to march to the terrorist's home, regardless of whether or not they get police permission to do so
