If any idiot claims they didn't know this would happen, then there idiocy knows no means.

I recall reading on JTF at the time that they were being converted into mosques (which are terrorist training centers).
But--62% of Israelis think this was a great idea. ::)

I am referring to the original 2005 polls regarding the Gaza surrender.

Yes, I could see it coming....... >:(
They took over Nazareth, didn't they?????

Well I would argue that the percentage of people who 'thought it was a good idea' then has probably gone down due to the results. At least I hope so.

And also keep in mind that the Likud referendum DID NOT PASS. Sharon went ahead with the expulsion anyway, despite promises to follow the result of the referendum.

Maybe, maybe not. I have not seen a recent poll about Gush Katif. I do recall that in the summer of 2006, immediately following the humiliating loss to Hezbollah, the public was very upset with Olmert and had concluded that it (disengagement) was a bad idea after all. I don't know if they still feel that way.

If there was a poll that showed anything against surrendering to Muslims, it likely wouldn't see the light of day. I was surprised they released the one showing opposition to surrender of the Golan, but I think it has to do with the left's agenda to take down Olmert. This was just another way to show he doesn't have public mandate. Usually they won't let this kind of stuff out.

Why would the left want to take down Buttholmert? He is their golden boy.

Yes, I do remember that vividly. That lying Nazi kapo will burn in hell (maybe he already is--I have no idea what the state of his soul is during his lengthy vegetation). I recall that the result of that poll was 60/40 against the disengagement. But most respondents to that poll were right-leaning Israelis; not many Tel Aviv kapos were approached with it.
