Though these numbers are encouraging, I remain very concerned about John McCain as a Presidential Candidate. I heard some sound bites from him while driving an hour or so ago. McCain's age could easily work against him in the campaign. He doesn't come across as someone who has energy.
It's very difficult to sell John McCain as a candidate. The only way he's going to win the election is if this campaign effectively becomes an anti-Barack Hussein Obama campaign.

We must do anything we can to help McCain cause we are up against a mountain. All the media, hollywood and establishment are in a frenzy to help Bongo.

Maybe it could work on a subconscious level. McCain should say "Barack Hussein Obama" every time he talks about his opponent and eventually people will only think of the Hussein bit. That is if McCain can get the media to give him a little bit of air time.

These polls are never accurate unless a landslide victory is expected. When Bill Clinton ran again Bob Dole it was obvious that Dole had no chance. For this election very few people like McCain, but many hate Osama. What it really comes down to is a yes/no election for Osama.
