Title: Message of Noam Federman.
Post by: Tzvi Ben Roshel1 on August 11, 2008, 06:53:11 PM
I heard Chaim's show this week, and he said that Noam Federman made a show( 2 actually) talking about the Zealots. I was wondering if someone has a link to it, and if someone can translate, or paraphrase what was said, sounds interesting.

Tzvi, you prob should send a pm to the people who speak hebrew here. Most of us don't have the ability to understand the show or translate.

In the Hebrew site: http://hayamin.org/

Noam's latest show (10/09/08) is the third link. I don't know if there's an archive of his previous shows. I usually listen to his shows but I don't remember exactly what he said.

I remember he praised the Zealots leaders- Yohanan of Gush-Chalav and Shimon bar Giyorah. He also thinks that the great rebellion came very close to succeed. I suppose he implies if more Jews had cooperated with the rebells it would have been successful.

He said that people who tagged the rebells as zealots and bullies are the type of people who today tag Kahanists with similar nicknames.
