Why are people announcing ramadan?

Today is Rosh Chodesh Elul. The perfect time for Tishuva, increased Torah study, and increased Chessed (Kindness), lets not pass on the opportunity.

Thank you Tzvi...

Yes, I am studying today... It is indeed Rosh Chodesh Elul and we are quickly approaching Rosh Hashanah.

Erev Rosh Hashanah is on September 29th this year, a Monday, and Rosh Hashanah proper is on Tuesday, the 30th.

Then we go through the 10 days of AWE and into Yom Kippur, the day of atonement.

This is the time we are to study, introspect, and do Teshuva {return to Hashem}. We can all increase our kindness.

Thank you,

I incidentally (through Google news homepage) saw so many headlines in the self hating media revering this abominable Islamonazi event. It just made me wish I was drinking a cold beer around fasting sweating muslims swines...
