Title: Some turn violent in march to GOP convention
Post by: muman613 on September 01, 2008, 08:49:10 PM
This is precious.... The liberals are not peace-loving hippies anymore {as if they ever were!}... Now they are turning violent and attacking delegates at the RNC...

I hate these kinds of protesters. I have posted serveral talkbacks at the SF Chronicle, which attracts the most ugly liberals there are, the most vile anti-american socialists and dregs... But it is surprising the # of anti-democrat sentiment is being posted.

(09-01) 16:32 PDT ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) --

Protesters attacked delegates, smashed windows, punctured car tires and threw bottles Monday, a violent counterpoint to an otherwise peaceful anti-war march at the Republican National Convention. Police wielding pepper spray arrested at least 56 people.

The trouble happened not far from the Xcel Energy Center convention site, and many of those involved in the more violent protest were clad in black and identified themselves to reporters as anarchists. They wrought havoc by damaging property and setting at least one fire. Most of the trouble was in pockets of a neighborhood near downtown, several blocks from where the convention was taking place.

Police estimates of the crowd shifted several times during the event, ranging from 2,000 to 10,000. The crowd was clearly in the thousands. Late Monday afternoon, long after the antiwar marchers had dispersed, police requested and got 150 Minnesota National Guard soldiers to help control splinter groups near downtown.

Members of the Connecticut delegation said they were attacked by protesters when they got off their bus near the Xcel Center, KMSP-TV reported. Delegate Rob Simmons told the station that a group of protesters came toward his delegation and tried to rip the credentials off their necks and sprayed them with a toxic substance that burned their eyes and stained their clothes.

Some lovely miscreants, eh?

SKIN HEADS

Wouldn't skinheads shy away from bothering anyone but Obama supporters? I know they're skinheads, but what purpose would they serve there?

The guy sticking the finger at the cop needs his finger broken

One time I was on a schoolbus and there was a police car behind the school bus. One of the boys thought it would be funny to give the policeman the finger. So the cop pulled the schoolbus over and went all the way to the back of the bus and scared the drek out of that kid. lol

Yes, and upon looking at the picture I decided to replace it... It is an obscene gesture... And we should be sensitive to others sensibilities.

These brainwashed Commies had an agenda and mission in mind when they started such protest... I can bet that Barack Hussein Obama supporters are behind it, to show the amount of discontent there is against McCain and the Republican Party. The only problem is that there were only 100+ demonstrators but the news media made it out to  be much more.
Don't believe the hype!
BHO is behind the whole thing.

Well, they are anarchists.  Anarchists are very violent when they want to get their way.  They are just like nazis or communists.

But would they do this at a Dem convention?  NO WAY, because the anarchists and the leftist dems have the same objective to destroy America and turn it into a despotic $#!^hole.  Anarchists love anyone who wants to destroy America.

Don't get these people mixed up with Anarchists. They are socialists/communists who claim to be anarchist, but socialism and anything left wing is statist and anarchism is ultra anti-statism. They are just a bunch of idiots who like the anarchist symbol and they think they are cool by pretending to be one.

I consider myself to be a minarchist, which I think all conservatives should be minarchists.

Which is why anarchism is hypocrisy.  By creating a lawless society, anybody with the most guns and money can seize power undemocratically because the vote was considered "establishment control".  Anarchism opens the door to dictatorship and oppression.  It's kind of like Deadwood or much of Africa.

Not all skinheads are Nazis.  Apparently there are skinheads called SHARP or skinheads against racial prejudice.  Also, many of these anarchists look like skinheads but they have goatees and just look like skinhead freaks.  It's all so stupid but these types of people live all over the West Coast.  I went to the WTO protests in my left of center days and these anarchists totally started stuff with the cops.  The cops and National Guard just stood there and when they refused to be provoked, the bandana wearing anarchists threw bottles and rocks at them.  They had one guy pretend to be a Buddhist monk and kneeled before the officers with flowers to revoke images from the 60's.  When that didn't work he touched them and they pushed him away.  He started holloring and then all these commies took pictures.  It's typical of all these protests.  They attack and when there is a police repsonse, all their "Democracy Now" friends take pictures.

From Wikipedia...

Anarchism
During the late 1990s and early 2000s Eugene contained a community of anarchists situated in the Whiteaker neighborhood west of downtown, which gained international notoriety in 1999 due to its perceived role in the battle of Seattle.[29] Following those protests, then-mayor Jim Torrey described the city as "the anarchist capital of the United States."[29] The Eugene anarchist movement grew out of the treesits and forest defense camps of the 1990s and soon began staging demonstrations and riots in Eugene,[citation needed] notably during a Reclaim the Streets event on June 18, 1999, when protesters blocked downtown streets and smashed the windows of three stores, and a few threw stones and bottles at police.[30] The anarcho-primitivist author John Zerzan, known for being a supporter and confidant of the Unabomber, lives in Eugene.

Some of the anarchist activity could be said to have had its start in a "mud people's" protest.[31] On that day, the participants noticed two blocks of trees, in a parking lot near the downtown area, were slated for removal the Sunday following. The ensuing "treesit" protest a week later, on June 1, 1997 was reported widely as it involved a several-hours-long action that was forcibly ended by police using copious amounts of pepper spray. A lawsuit by protesters against police response to that protest was settled five years later.[32]

Anarchist activity in Eugene has declined since September 11, 2001, but the ongoing trials of accused eco-terrorists continue to keep Eugene in the same spotlight.[33]

After the 60's a lot of hippies and leftists moved north from San Francisco to start families.  They made California a hellhole full of crime and illegals so they left places like LA and San Fran to start new lives throuhgout the Pacific Northwest.  Certain places like Olympia, WA and Corvalis, OR became appealing because of liberal universities and state jobs.  Olympia is the capitol of WA and Eugene has a large University of Oregon campus.  The anarchists "crust punks" travel up and down the West Coast from San Diego to Vancouver British Columbia and beg and steal.  They also hang out in places like Boulder, Colorado, Madison Wisconsin or Flagstaff Arizona.

They now have flooded places like Moscow, Idaho, Homer, Alaska and Missoula Montana because there's new opportunity and they recruit for university jobs.  After the liberals are there, they bring in the third world crowd to make it "diverse" on campus.  Those diverse students bring everyone with them once they have a foothold and ruin many beautiful places.
