So what

This is due to Israel's ultra-socialist government. Though it must be said the arabs probably have a disproportionate rate of failure much like the blacks in America do and that brings it down.

I've heard that some Israeli schools don't even teach science, anyways that's pretty bad. Israeli IQ is also lower than the American Jewish IQ, this could be due to the government, increasing Arab population, Ethiopian population, or Russian population.

So what

Well if your children ranked last in science and maths in one school, and highly in another, then you might want to know.

I know intelligence might not be something you value, but it is valuable.

They have taken the Muslim Arab population in this study as well as the Israelis. So the outcome is perhaps not as bad as it seems on the first view:

Quote
Education Minister Yuli Tamir cited the diversity of the Israeli education system as a uniquely demanding factor. "The Israeli education system is abnormally heterogeneous," Tamir said. "It's made up of four sub-systems - Hebrew state schools, Arab state schools, religious state schools and ultra-Orthodox schools. This multitude of disciplines requires additional budgets, a problem which the OCED's exemplary countries don't have to face."

I can only tell from the European school systems. The Muslims darg normally down the average  :-\

Who cares? Im kinda gladd actually becuase school and the school system is mostly a waist of time. If one wants to be a doctor then let him/her study things like bio, and chem, etc. But for the average person, it is all non-sense and irrelevent. Of- course knowing basic math wont hurt, but still most of the so-called education system is bs. I hope that these systems eventually break down and we wont have to waist time in persuing secular subjects that are not needed for our jobs.

And this is exactly why Israel is going downhill. A educated society is good. Look at many of the countries with intelligent people.

Exactly my thoughts. The education system and the socialist gouvernment tries to create us like they want. But this is honestly not the task of a gouvernment.

I have heard so often from politicians, that this adjustment and that adjustment in the syllabuses has to make in order to make our society more successfull.

Sometimes I think the children are robots that were programmed in order to work like leftists want.

So imo education belongs in private hands and not in the hands of the bolschewik gouvernment.

what is exactly why?

idiot govt is why.

tzvi's mentality is not.  tzvi is just influenced by charedi thought. Israelis are not, they are largely secular.

BTW There are alot of doctors in israel. Prob disproportionate.
