At the present time, it is predicted that Corpus Christi Texas is probably right in the path of hurricane Ike.
It could be a catagory 3- 4 when it makes land.
Relatives are coming from San Antonio to arrive about 3:30 PM today to take us all north to San Antonio.
Send up some prayers that our home will still be here when we get back. LOL

Thanks, guys!
I'm busy trying to decide what 'treasures' to take with me that I may never see again if we get hit. It's kinda like rushing around in a house fire trying to grab what's most important to you.
See you when I get back to Corpus Christi- that is if I have a computer left. lol
Take care of things, and keep the prayers coming.
love ya,
Cyberella

CYBERELLA , my prayers are with you and all the other great people of Texas who could be affected by this storm.

Thanks, guys, for all your thoughts and prayers.
They meant so much to me.
We got back from San Antonio today about 3PM. Everything was fine.
As you know, the hurricane turned away from Corpus Christi and hit Galveston and the Houston area.
We usually just ride them out, but this one was so huge and was headed straight for Corpus Christi that my dad just got spooked and we took out. We left early because during Rita, as you may have heard, many were stranded on the hiways for days, ran out of gas etc. because they waited until the last minute and there was just a jam up of cars.
Thanks again, and I hope that's all the hurricanes for this season. LOL

Hope Rubystars in Houston is ok.

Cyberella, w/o saying I'm glad that you and your family are ok.
It's always better to use be extra cautious when it comes to a major storm. This certainly was a major storm, that's still going to produce a great amount of rain in the next couple of days.

Glad you are well. ;)
