Title: Conn. Supreme Court rules in favor of same-sex marriage case
Post by: Dan on October 10, 2008, 11:38:44 AM
HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - The Connecticut Supreme Court has ruled that same-sex couples have the right to marry in Connecticut.
Plaintiffs have said that the state's marriage law discriminates against them because it applies only to heterosexual couples, therefore denying gay couples the financial, social and emotional benefits of marriage.

Supporters of Same Sex Marriage are planning to hold a press conference at 2pm at the Hilton Hotel in Hartford.
They are also planning a rally regardless of the decision on the north steps of the State Capitol at 5:30pm.
The ruling will be available on the Judicial Branch’s website, http://www.jud.ct.gov, at 11:30 a.m. According to the press office, neither the justices nor Judicial Branch staff will comment on the ruling.

If Barack Hussein Obama has it his way it would be the Law of the Land, G-d forbid!
