Küntzel is of cause right with his analysis. I am surprised to read his text in English. He seems to come around. :)

I think he is the typical changed leftist. Henryk Broder is one of this type too.
I think today is their worldview mainly liberal, perhaps with a little leftist impact.
Of course he is a religious person. He is praying to the god of human rights. :-(
But better than to Allah or Marx ...
