Title: silly ways that the young speak
Post by: q_q_ on November 20, 2008, 08:04:33 AM
stephen fry on room 101.

From 7:50 part2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hnABeM2I7c

criticises the going up at the end of making a statements..  as the young do.

continues 3 minutes into part 3 ,
you could start at 1:20 there, so 1:20-3:00
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTdFYclpu54

criticises misuse of the word like
"I was like.."  "he was like" e.t.c.

And he points the finger to the cause.

note- stephen fry is an extremely clever man. He is unfortunately, the classic, Jewith but left wing.  Still, he isn't talking politics here. He rarely does.
This is well worth listening to.

(it was teenage girls that did it, the buffy the vampire, sabrina the teenage witch generation, that did it.    But now many of them are into their 20s)

The part making fun of Alex Chiu was great. lol

did the clip mention his name?
is he the inventor of the  new age "transportation device"?

I can't imagine that either Paul Merton or Stephen Fry would even want to know the name of the person that invented the device!
