Title: How Often Should I Have JTF Get Togethers?
Post by: Lisa on January 20, 2009, 11:42:57 PM: It was great meeting Chaim, Davide Ben Moshe, Ashe Dina in person, and of course Dan Jasmina, Italian Zionist, Bullcat3 and CJD who I met before. I think this should be regular kind of thing. It's great to meet the faces behind the user names. So please let me know how often I should have these.

Also, if someone didn't make one month, they could come the next, etc. In other words, it is a solid thing.

It was wonderful meeting Chaim, AsheDina, David and New Yorker. It was good to see Lisa, Dan, Jasmina, and Italian Zionist again. I'm sorry we missed seeing Vito. I hope DWI is feeling ok.
I just think every other month or so might be more realistic. Thanks again Lisa for motivating and arranging for us to meet.

It was exactly the same thing that goes on in this forum, but in the REAL world and on a personal level, we all met up at a Kosher Chinese restaurant, had discussions and opinions about the state of our world and how to improve it, with lots of laughs, all this across the table over Kosher Chinese food.

Everybody way over paid on the bill, even with tip included, David and Chaim asked if we'd all like some of our money back, but instead we had a quick vote and decided that the surplus should go to JTF as a donation.

This was OUR idea, Chaim and David never asked us to make a donation, and asked repeatedly if we'd like the difference back, but we all insisted.

I'd have to know well in advance so I can plan; I might bring my older daughter too!

Would it be on Sunday? That is the only day I could make it, due to my other responsibilities and travel time. I used to have a friend in Boro Park who I could stay with, but unfortunately she passed away a few years ago. :(
