As much as I detest Marx, I think he is more of a figure head (or an idol) than a real menace. While muslims are brought up memorizing the Quran, how many socialist can quote from the manifest ? I also doubt Stalin, Mao etc. really needed Marx to teach them their ideology, I don't think these beasts really believed in anything similar to ideology. There has never been a trully Marxist regime. All the communist regime where either extreme Nationalists who took over by force, or a puppet government installed by Russia.

I hate Marx for his teachings. I have his main work "Das Kapital". It is an unnatural work, trying to twist the natural order of the world in an unnatural one. Marx was not so wrong in his understanding of economy, I have to admit, but his conclusion of a fleshy marxist salvation was a crime against god as well as a crime against humanity. There will never be salvation in this world detached from god.

Every attempt will cause much more suffering than we have already here.

Zelhar, this regimes in eastern Europe and all around the world which referred to Marx were Marxist regimes. Perhaps they didn't followed in every point their master, but this doesn't make them non-Marxist.

Marx is NOT the cause of the problems of Modern times. Any true Jew would have to point to Hashem as the source of EVERYTHING, even communism. Marx was a symptom of the time and is not to be blamed for the application of his ideas to 'Communist' Russia. As a previous poster pointed out, Communist Russia was not vaguely like the 'utopia' which Marx envisioned where all Workers are supposed to be equal. As a Jew I believe that salvation will never be attained without the people realizing that they are ENTIRELY dependent on the Creator of the Universe.

I dont blame Marx for Stalin or Lenin or Moa... They would have been brutal murderers with/or without Marx's Communist Manifesto.

The regimes of eastern europe were puppet regimes of the Soviets. In the countries where communism took over from the ground up rather than being forced, like Russia, China, Cuba and Vietnam, the result was an ultra nationalist totalitarian state with state controlled economy. My point is that Marx didn't invent chauvinist nationalism, the totalitarian state, personality cults etc.

I think the relation between Marx and Communist regimes in Russia, China, etc. is roghly the same as the one between Friedrich Nietzsche and his philosophy and Nazi regime in Germany.

Both Marx and Nietzsche didn't participate in creation of these dictatures, but they laid idelogical ground for them.

After all, I agree with the pointh that even without Marx theory the dictators mentioned here would build their tyrannies, maybe based on the teachings of the other "prophets".

The worst thing about Marx is that he continues to be taken seriously.  I cannot think of any person who has done so much damage for so lengthy a period.  Eventually, (this is my hope) historians will be able to point to Marx and say that this was when the waters became cloudy.

Marx was the person, who more than anyone else in history, is responsible for moral confusion in our time.  He took the Christian ideal of human equality (which meant equality of opportunity) and perverted it to mean equality of outcome.

Muman said that Hitler (ym"sh) and Mao (ym"sh) and others would still have been murderers had it not been for Marx.  I don't think that there is any way of knowing that.  Hitler was a product of Marx and of social Darwinism.

As for the evil of Islam, who allows it to flourish?  The Marxist Leftist college professors and the democratic party in America and the socialists in Europe.  If there were no Marx, Islam would be unaided and consequently powerless.

"I wish to avenge myself against the One who rules above..."

The idea of God is the keynote of a perverted civilization. It must be destroyed."

Violence is the midwife which takes the new society out of the womb of the old one.

- Pervert in Chief Karl Marx.

Karl Marx on the Jews:

Though a Jew, he wrote a pernicious anti-Jewish book called The Jewish Question.  In 1856, he wrote in The New York Tribune an article entitled "The Russian Loan," in which we read:

We know that behind every tyrant stands a Jew, as a Jesuit stands behind every Pope.  The fact that the Jews have become so strong as to endanger the life of the world causes us to disclose their organization, their purpose, that its stench might awaken the workers of the world to fight and eliminate such a canker.
