The problem is not foreign oil, the problem is oil, period.  If you get a chance to listen to Anne Korin about the rammifications of oil, do it.  She's very informative.  She recommends this website, and it looks good to me.  Check it out:

I want to fill up a car with the garden hose and have it run on that.

The problem is getting this technology into cars. By that I mean that they say they're planning to mass produce it, but I feel that the oil companies will try to do all they can to sabotage these efforts.
