I'd like to see where Chaim stands on him.
HE DID TERRIBLE THINGS THAT 13 YR OLD ALL I WILL SAY HE RAPED HER EVERY WAY POSSIBLE .HE MUST GO TO PRISON
It took long enough.HE DID TERRIBLE THINGS THAT 13 YR OLD ALL I WILL SAY HE RAPED HER EVERY WAY POSSIBLE .HE MUST GO TO PRISON
I agree! Those thins don't become stale. So he must go to prison and he will go to prison. But as I heard only for 5 years.

Im surprised the creep evaded arrest for so many years. He must make it in some kind of records book..

Polanski avoided visits to countries (such as the UK) that were likely to extradite him and mostly travelled and worked in France, Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland.
As a French citizen, he was protected in France by the country's limited extradition with the U.S.

Funny that all those countries had no problem "extraditing" Jews to the Third Reich.
At this point I think that the 'masses' would love to release Manson into the public... He has spent a lot of time in prison, and we should show him some 'mercy'... This kind of thinking is so sick and perverted... Justice is justice and without it we would have chaos.
If Polanski did the crime, he must do the time...

What masses?
The American masses who are so forgiving to people who have not truly repented. I don't think Manson regrets what he did. I don't think that the Lockerbie Bombing suspect should have been released. I have heard the liberal position that people should not be punished for their crimes, that their life was too hard, or their parents, or other excuses.
I think that the average Obama voter would think it would be ok to free Manson.
One of the manson girls just died in prison... I think some sympathy may be coming soon...
That is Marilyn Manson not Charles Manson
That is Marilyn Manson not Charles Manson
It is my subtle attempt at humor. If you asked most people if 'Manson' should be free... Most would not know who Charles Manson is... They would assume you are talking about Marilyn Manson. Thus they would say "Of course he should be free"...
I am stretching a little to say that Manson will be freed. I am not making any kind of prediction.

That is some list of evil animals... Still and all the issue is very old and was mishandled when it was first being prosecuted. Remembering back to the 70's when it happened it seemed like a big deal even to a young person like myself. Looking at the crime now some 35 years later in to days society it hardly raises an eyebrow. They should have continued to restrict his entry here in America and left it at that. After all is said and done he is going to get off the hook and will then be able to return to America. I think he was told to bring the issue to a head by being detained as he was and in the end the charges have become so washed out they will have to be dismissed.

Excuse me? a 13 year old girl.... I don't think so...
Even in todays society a grown man in his position using a 13 yo girl... It should be prosecuted.
The only reason he'd get off is because he's rich and famous. Bulldrek if you ask me. He did the crime, he should do the time. Now the way I see it if he was just anybody the government would have lost interest in this years ago. Even the victim has no interest in having all this brought up again. The fact that he is high profile is why they are still pushing it. I agree with you that in the end his money will get him off with all charges dropped. I have no use for pedophiles. I would like to see them surgically corrected however this case was a joke back in the 70's and it has not improved with the passage of time.

Who do you think Brian Warner based his character on?
Yep, I just want to hear the words out of his mouth.
If Chaim finds him anything other than hideous and nauseating I would be shocked out of all consciousness.
Seems like a pretty bad crime to me.
