Has the UN ever been successful in anything?

They were the tool Hashem used as part of the rebirth of Israel, but thats about it.

It will not be until Jews learn to act against her enemies, that there won't be anymore enemies of Israel for a loooong time. Iran is an opportunity for Israel to act and expand, before it was the Lebanon war of 2006, before before it was obtaining Sinai in Egypt. And as long as Israel sits and does nothing, Gd will bring new enemies to test us.

Nice to see some non self-hating Rabbis.

These Rabbis and other Jewish Community Leaders should be commended for taking a stand against the Iranian threat to the West.
I cannot believe they got arrested for disorderly conduct. What they were doing was completely peaceful!

Re: "...What they were doing was completely peaceful!..."
Yes.
But they willfully crossed from public property into UN property; at which point they were tresspassing.

When the hell did the UN get special priviliges? They are on US soil, they have to follow US rules. The UN looks like a good place to build a highrise or a parking garage. Then it would be useful.

Even filling the UN building with every homeless schvartza found on the NYC subway is a better use for it than for its current purpose right now.

The laws have changed in the past few years however diplomats that are here from other countries in the world fall under diplomatic immunity laws. They cant be held to the laws that all the rest of us have to follow. Their cars would have diplomatic plates on them and they would park where ever the felt like it and not be subjected to fines. They also are immune from prosecution on more serious crimes. They run rampit in the city causing all sorts of problems however not much is said about this.
