I saw an episode of Ray Mears where he visited some partisans. It told the story of a great Jew who after the war moved to America and became a taxidriver; I can't remember his name.

It ended with a partisan saying:

If you only look at the past you are blind on one eye.
But if you forget the past you are blind on both eyes.

Thanks so much for this. Where did you find the audio? This must have been recorded 5-9 years ago at least.
