I thought this may be an interesting thread and I would be interested to hear people's experiences and personal feelings. I know every muslim country on the globe is viruntely Jew hating and even very sympathetic or practicing nazi ideologies. So, its useless for me to even mention about muslim countries. I would like people to list their opinions of countries that are not Islamic, that have populations that are very anti-Semitic/anti-Jewish and hostile to Jews. It would be good to learn, because when we travel its best to know which places to avoid. Also, its good to know who are enemies are. We must remember that in the 21st century, 6,000,000 Jews died not at the hands of muslims, but at the hands of European false-CHristians. I know that many countries have transformed their Jew hatred into arab-nationalism, that now gives them some legitimate excuse to hate Jews, but I and you know it is just same Jew hatred as before. These people look for any excuse to hate Jews.
Please when you list the countries, list them in order of the most hateful (at top), and "least" most hateful at bottom. Don't list countries that love Jewish people.. Maybe that would be good for another thread.
Here is the list I have composed based on my own research , in order from most horrible (most) to bad (least). You can agree or disagree and share with me.
1. Romania
ALthough not widely known, the populations have had vile hatred for Jews and were very happy to partake in the genocide of Jews and openly received Hitler when he conquered the country. I hear Jews are constantly hated and belittled even to this day. Hence the population of Jews in Romania is next to none. Orthodox CHristian country. Also, a good number of the country is impoverished and uneducated about the holocaust and many will completely deny it and attack you for talking about it. Romanians have no guilt and rather blame Jews for the holocaust. Even Russians, Poles, Germans don't go to this level.
2. Germany (6,000,000 murdered Jews and the country uses the Palinazian cause to justify their behavior) Tied with Austria
2. Austria (First European country to officially Elect a nazi into the parliament since WWII, Home of the fuhrer) Tied with Germany
3. Ukraine
4. Peru
5. Venezeula
6. Croatia
7. Russia
8. Belarus
9. Spain/Portugal (Tied)
10. Poland
11. Argentina
12. Brazil
13. South Africa
14. Hungary
15. Norway (More Jew hatred then you think, many still believe in the Third Reich)
16. Belgium
17. Slovenia

20. Ireland (esp northern Irish Catholics)

26. Canada (especially Quebec province)

30. Slovakia (Heard about anti-semitic events, not sure details).
31. Armenia (Cannot blame them 100%, after all the Socialist Israeli gov't befriended Turkey and denied their holocaust to a degree)
NOT ON LIST, But should not be overlooked:
1. Switzerland (Nice country overall, but anti-semitic element is common amongst the liberals in the country. Must not forget they had Jewish president at one time.)
2. Italy (Nice country pro-Israel leader, but fascist/libreral pro-Muslim/Jew hating elements exist and is reported to be growing in some areas)
3. Czech Republic (Good country, pro-Israel in many ways, but bad past with JEws and also has hidden right "ultra-left IMO" nationalist groups)
4. India (Muslims and Liberal/Left-wing Indians have anti-semitic/anti-Israel, pro-Muslim views. However, majority of Hindus respect all people and the conservative/right-wing Hindus are very pro-Israel. However the Jew hating INC party is a major threat to Jewish people. Also, we must not forget Rabbi Gavriel and the Mumbai Massacre)

By the way if I listed your country, it doesn't mean I hate you and your country, it just means I feel your country overall expresses a great deal of animosity or hatred to the Jewish people and is probalby unsafe for JEws to live and possibly, to travel. This is no way reflects upon those good citiznes of those countries who support Jewish people and the JTF.

The problem I see with this is that you are naming countries that had a wave or two. With Islam, it's not just a generation or two, its a constant theme.
They hated you since Muhammed.
They never liked you. They never sanctioned you. They never hosted you.

I don't quite get what you are saying about a wave or two.. I am talking about countries that hate Jews today, for whatever reasons.. If you study the history, many of these countries hated us anyway, regardless of what good things we contributed to their societies. Did I name the world? Well, a lot of countries hate Jews, its unfortunate phenomenon. I know Islam and oil may have contributed somewhat. But , I think anti-semitic versions of Catholicism and anti-semitic versions of Christianity , as well as just culture and hatred of minorities are other contributing factors.
In Poland and Ukraine they say to their children, you better behave yourself or the Jew will get you and kill you and put you in his matzoh. Germany and many other countries say that Jewish businesses or what keeps them poor. Even though, it makes about as much sense as Santa Claus impregnating the Tooth Fairy, these people hold onto these beliefs for no other reason than twisted, backward traditions.

Also, antisemitism from Armenia is NOT justified. Israel had nothing to do with the Armenian mass slaughter, and Israel/Jews never DENIED anything. true, Israel doesnt 'recognize' the attrocity as a genocide (sadly), but neither do most countries (Incl US)

There is antisemitism all over the world, in every country. But, the point here is in which countries were the Jews physically persecuted, or still are. You can't compare religious disputes and name calling with pogroms. Murders and forced conversions didn't happen in every country.

No. 3 is England because of the Royal families Nazi ties, they are calling for boycotts of Israel and they didn't want Jews to return to Israel in WW2. Please don't get offended in any way with this post. The listing here are not official, nor are they conclusive. I am open to modification and I am interested to hear others opinions and will be happy to adjust the list as I get more information from others. This listing is just a rough figure from my own personal research and reading various articles and statistics on the web. I know its not 100% accurate and I am sure there are many countries listed in the wrong spots. Perhaps, with input from other JTFers, like yourself, as well as doing a bit more research on my own, I will adjust the list so it can be much more accurate. This list will be a valuable piece of information to JEws like myself, who are interested to travel around and mingle with other cultures. Personally, I think it is the duty of the Jewish people to try to promote our cause and make oursevles known to the world, but some countries have such vile Jew hatred that they must be avoided at all costs.
YOu may be very right about England being much more anti-semitic. England was notorious for the atrocities they commited against the Jewish people , especially during the creation of the Israeli state. However, I think a majority of the anti-semitism in England comes from its Muslim population. I am not saying the anglicans or British athiests have any love for JEws. The same can be said for France and Belgium. The locals although they don't love JEws, are not the sole instigators of anti-semitism in these countries compared to their growing islamic population. However, what disturbs me in Ireland, is that a lot of the rabid Jew hatred comes not from the muslim population, but rather from the local Irish themselves. It seems many Irish consider the Pal-i-stinians like themselves, victims of colonization. For some reason, they chose to side with the arabs and hate the Jews, even though the Jewish people and Irish both have simliar struggle and simliar cause. In reality, the Jews and Irish should be the best of friends, but the IRA and other Jew hating IRish nationalists have chosen to be stupid and not look deep into history. It is reported than many local Irish support and arm Islamic terrorists. However, I do have some Irish-American friends and know there are many Irish who support the Jewish people. P
As far as Italy, being on the list, I am not sure. It was one of the few EUropean countries where leaders and many non-Jews came to parade around the streets of Rome for "Israel Day". I cannot see a Jew hating country allowing such solidarity and support of Israel. However, I am not denying that the fascist/nazi element exists in Italy, but I think you are blowing it out of proportion. However, if people think ITaly should go on the list, tell me what spot you think it should be. From what I read, Italy does lack a lot of the anti-semitic attacks that a majority of other EUropean countries have experienced.

Even though I know in the 1930s Germany and Austria would be #1, it seems the tides have shifted and there are other countries with an even greater hatred of Jews. I still think Germany is very anti-semitic and has deep hatred of the Jews, but I cannot agree with it being #1.
Please everyone feel free to share with me, I have obviously not visited most of these countries and I would like to make the list more accurate with your input. I will put Latvia on the list, thanks Mord.

Its ok Ron... No probz.. I have updated my list to reflect what you said about Germany. I still put Romania above, but convince me why being a Jew in Romania is better than in Germany and I can change it. Romanians are every bit as nazi as Germans, just not as intelligent.
