Title: Greek Admiral's visit signifies deepening military ties with Israel.
Post by: Aces High on December 29, 2009, 06:49:41 AM
Any country with half a brain would want to develop strong military ties Israel because she is a miltary powerhouse, with incredible advances in military technology.   Greece has a lot to  gain with a military alliance with Israel.    I  do give Greece credit for letting  Israel show her strength to Iran, when she flew 100 fighter planes to Greece, and did the mock air fights with the Greek airforce.  I'm sure showing solidarity with Israel benefited Greece as well, since Turkey, the enemy of Greece, may now surely wonder if Israel would come to the defense of Greece, if Turkey became aggressive with them.

Although both members of NATO, Greece & Turkey have several times come close to war.

Even though Israel has military ties with both of them, in the end both will stab Israel in the back: Alle Yevonim hoben ein ponim ("All Greeks have the same face") as the say in Yiddish, and "Never trust Johnny Turk" as they say in Australia!

Indeed Turkey is mentioned explicitly by name as attacking Israel in the War of Gog & Magog, Ezekiel 38, using tanks and jets that the Israelis upgraded for them!
