A North American Union would be similar to a European Union and would have enormous economic and even security benefits. However, I think all the rumors about it happening are just a myth. I think the Americas will pose a strong rival to Europe and China and India through a merger of countries.

A North American Union POSES security threats. Open borders will allow terrorists from one country go into another. And don't forget that that would legalize illegal Third World immigration from Mexico.
This would be the end of America as most of us know it!

This is 100% true.
Hitler's "Fortress Europe" is the model for "HomeLand Security"; complete with threat of imprisonment, job denial, arrest and detention without charges or legal counsel...all for either "not having your official ID papers on you", "having ID naming you as a suspected enemy of the State", or "having your ID computer chip cancelled...thus forbidding any travel of anykind whatsoever under any circumstances".

Read the "Real ID Act" passed and due to be mandated on us within the next year.
The socialist/fascists passed by claiming it is the only way possible to determine the citizens from the "undocumented".
However, only citizens are forced to pay for these ID cards and carry them.
The illegal aliens are being made legal and encouraged to continue flowing across unprotected borders to serve as the slave serfs of the elitists which will have turned America into a huge military/industrial complex.
Any and all dissent whatsoever by Card Carrying Residents of the North American Trade Zone, will be met first with Card cancellation, then arrest and torture followed by slave labor camp internment.
Just like it was done throughout The Third Reich.

Not when every phone, email, letter, Post Office Box, and public and private meeting space is electronically recorded and permanently stored by our NSA, CIA, MIA, and the other agencies now doing this to all of us as a result of "The Patriot Act".
