The Saint Louis Rams have been sold. Originally Rush Limbaugh was going to be part of the buying group but the NFL for purposes of political correctness turned that down. Now this fellow does not appear to have any radical Islamic connection but it still rubs me the wrong way.

There's some speculation that Shahid Khan is a Sikh, not a Muslim. However, someone mentioned the following in the comments section from an article on this topic. I'll post the link below:
"Khan is a surname that can go either way, but generally is Sikh. However, he is a native of Pakistan (a nearly exclusively Muslim country), and his first name is Islamic (Arabic for “martyr”). My money is on him being Muslim".

I remain distributed and angry that Russ Limbaugh's opportunity to be part of a group bidding for the St. Louis Rams was rejected. Like Secularbeliever mentioned, political correctness cost Limbaugh the opportunity. At the same time, the individual running the NFL Players Association, DeMaurice Smith is a substantial Barack Hussein Obama supporter. The same BHO who has demonstrated repeatedly that he's a racist!

Shahid Khan, who is 55 years old. He is the president of Flex-N-Gate Corp., an auto parts manufacturer based in Urbana, Illinois. He has lived in the United States 40-some-odd years. He is Pakistani descent, and he is the person who has been selected by the Rosenbloom family to purchase the St. Louis Rams.
Therefore he is a muslim!!!

This DeMaurice Smith should be offered a one way ticket to Africa. The following article link goes into more detail about DeMaurice Smith:

A couple of other thoughts come to mind.
1) Pittsburgh Steelers owner Dan Rooney, who was a vocal supporter of Barack Hussein Obama during the 2008 Presidential Campaign, was named by BHO as U.S. Ambassador to Ireland.
2) Dan Rooney was the individual in the NFL who introduced the Rooney Rule, which forces each NFL team to interview a person who is considered a Minority according to the NFL, when there's an opening for an NFL Head Coach position. This past June, the following happened with the Rooney Rule:
" The NFL has extended its minority interviewing rule to include openings for general manager jobs and equivalent front-office positions, in addition to head coaching vacancies".
I'm all in favor of the most qualified person being hired, regardless of Race or related factors. There have been some Black General Managers and Head Coaches in the NFL who have done a great job. The problem is when Affirmative Action is forced upon an NFL team by the league as a whole. The Rooney Rule is a form of Affirmative Action. People should be hired on merit and accepted to colleges on merit.
3) The Rooney Rule doesn't apply to ownership transactions ( when an NFL team is up for sale. ) Until the NFL applies this to ownership transactions, my take is the NFL owners are basically doing what Ted Kennedy did. Force Liberal policies down the throats of the American people. But instead of living in the same neighborhood with those you are trying to elevate through liberal policies, Ted Kennedy lived in exclusive Hyannis Port, Massachusetts.
