Does anyone know of any good Israeli films out there? I recently saw a movie called Walking On Water, about an Israeli Mossad hitman, and Ajami, which was nominated for Best Foreign Film in the Academy Awards.

I didn't really like walk on water but I guess it kinda fit the role a mossad agent would need to do his job, it had too much of a homosexual element to it.
I liked Munich but some people here may not agree.
There is Beaufort which is a realistic war movie about the Lebanon war, I really liked this one but it's only in Hebrew.

Yeah, I didn't like the gay thing going on in Walk On Water either. I heard that same director made another movie, The Bubble, basically a Romeo and Juliet story about two men, one an Israeli and the other a Palestinian. I think I'm gonna avoid that one.
Beaufort sounds good. I'll see if I can find it with English subs.

Try Ushpizin, it is a light hearted look at Charedim along with a Succot story involving criminals. It is not political in any sense but it leaves you with a good feeling about Jews and Israelis.

I just watched Beaufort and enjoyed it.
Very low tech and low budget but well done.
Brought back many memories.
With a great deal of effort you might can find it on Tudou.com which is a Red Chinese website.
