I have serious teeth problems, its OBAMAS fault, anyway--I am going in for surgery tomorrow, and I have not been having an easy time for a couple mos, not to mention that I am scared to death of the dentist and they are putting me out for this root-canal.
I am on an obsene amt of anti-biotics, and extremely tired--VERY TIRED b/c of it.
PLEASE say prayers that I recover quickly from this, so I can go back to my life without pain in my mouth.

Don't worry about the dentist. It's not as bad as you make it out believe me I know. I will say some prayers for you and ask G-d to give you strength to overcome this fear.

Sorry to hear about the problem you are having with your teeth... Don't let the thought of the dentist bother you so much. Often the worse part of the entire thing is just getting seated in the chair. Once your there the procedure is often over before you know it. Some years back I had to have some surgery done to repair the after effects of a bad root canal. I insisted that the dentist do it with just a local injection. Crazy me I even had the dentist give me a large mirror and I watched him as he worked. About half way through the dentist started to panic because he felt that the injection was going to give out way before he was actually finished. I told him not to become alarmed and to keep working and just get finished. The effects of the pain killer did fade a bit but I think the dentist was actually in more pain then I ever was. For normal fillings I don't even bother with the injection it makes the dentist work more carefully and I don't have a droopy lip for hours after he is done. Thank G-d I have a great dentist that goes along with me and is able to work under my conditions. He tells me I move around less then the people he gives the pain killers to. Just try not to think about it so much and I will keep you in my thoughts prayers for a pain free procedure

So sorry Paulette, been there done that! Once you get the surgery, the worst will be behind you. I pray for a very quick and painless recovery!

Hello guys, Dr. Dan the dentist here to the rescue, sort of. Aishedina, PM me when you have the chance if you need any advice. Same goes for anyone else with teeth-gum issues.

if you were in Israel you'd have no probs. They have the best dentists in the world here I think and it is not so expensive.

Ask for the knock out gas, sit back and relax.

Prayed, praying, and will pray. I am NO stranger to Dentists and teeth problems.
In Marine Corps Boot Camp, I received a root canal a week while there. I had great dental care when I was a kid, and I had one tooth that had a problem going in. I still have a difficult time believing I had as many teeth that needed root canals, but it was not for me to question why.
Years later, I began having problems with every tooth the Navy had worked on, and my current dentist was shocked. He said they left bits of tools in my canals, and that he had to re-do every root canal I had done while in the Marines. Thankfully, I had great insurance, and was able to have all my teeth repaired, but oh....OH.....what a mess,and what a painful time.
I said all that to say, I'm with ya, and I empathize with you, and yes, my prayers are with you.

After you are done with the antibiotics, make sure you take a probiotic like Lactobacillus. It will help prevent antibiotic induced diarrhea and the nausea that can come with it.

How horrible! But this goes to show how it will be if the government is in charge of your doctors.
