Yesterday, with little fanfare, America reached a turning point. Logic and reason are starting to make a comeback here on the fruited plains. A new Rasmussen poll shows that for the first time more people say that the blame for the poor economy is not Bush's fault but Obama's. The divide over which president is at fault for the under-performing economy close, within the margin of error really. But according to the new poll Americans blame the economy on Obama by a plurality of 48%, with 47% putting the blame on Bush.
Much to the consternation of Democratic strategists across the country, as the mid-term elections draw closer, one of the main Democratic talking points - It's Bush's fault! - is being whisked away. And, to add to their woes, voters unaffiliated with either party, to the tune of 52%-44%, think Obama is to blame for the current economic problems. Translation: November might have just gotten rougher for Democratic candidates.
