SoCal Woman Accused of Aiding Terrorists

(San Diego, California) Last Friday, a 24-year-old local woman, Nima Ali Yusuf, was arrested by FBI agents for allegedly providing support to al-Shabab, the al-Qaeda-linked Somalia terrorist group.

A federal indictment was unsealed yesterday charging Yusuf with conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists, conspiracy to provide material support to al Shabaab, and making false statements to a government agency in a matter involving international terrorism.

Yusuf is being held without bail. A hearing is scheduled for November 18.
