Trying to raise taxes in an already weak economy is just brilliant /s. Then hitting the economy with a huge new entitlement like health care when we cannot afford the current entitlements. Check Paul Ryan on healthcare. It is on YouTube and he dissects it brilliantly.

I am not an expert in economics, but what immediately comes to my mind is the huge debt that the Obama administration is piling up. It is clearly what economists call an "unsustainable level"; if I remember well, the latest budget deficit is at 13% of GDP, which is freaky; at the beginning of the 2000's, America actually ran budget surpluses. Obama is literally ruining America and putting a heavy burden on future generations. It is a blatant case of fiscal irresponsibility.

The only reason the tax cuts might be extended are that Republicans are insisting on it. The Clinton years were prosperous because Clinton adopted the policies of the Republican Party namely welfare reform cutting government spending and capital gains tax cuts. Obama's health care plan includes tax increases for higher wage earners that will hopefully be repealed. It also includes a moronic requirement for businesses to report every vendor who was paid $600 during a year. Just a harassment and obstacle to business.

The budget deficit that is usually considered as sustainable by most economists is 3% of GDP at most. 13% is a long way from that !
In 2008, US debt stood at 10 trillion dollars. It is now 14 trillion dollars. In his short time in office, Obama and his administration have increased the national debt by more than every other president in US history.
True, Bush did bad, but Obama is doing much worse. If things continue this way, America could end up in a Greece-like situation in a near future.

Bingo.
The proof is in the pudding. Here we are 18 months after the recession officially ended and we still have near 10% unepmployment. Employment is often a lagging statistic but this is ridiculous. Obama inherited a bad situation but he has made it much worse. And most of all, he is using Socialist solutions. His people are saying that unemployment insurance is the way to create jobs. What a joke, paying people not to work creates jobs? We spent many hundreds of billions on stimulus and have nothing to show for it. Even if you believe it created 3 milliion jobs (I consider that absolute nonsense, it probably destroyed more jobs than it created) that comes to almost $300 thousand per job.
If you believe the USA needs to be a socialist welfare state and should be an ordinary country like France or Portugal, then Obama is great. If you believe America is great, that it is exceptional, that it is a place where people strive to achieve great things sometimes coming from the most humble beginnings then Obama sucks.

Here is Ryan's discussion of Health Care where he brutally dissects it in front of Obama. Look at at that for help in criticism of Obama.
