Title: Anyone else notice that Streets were not cleared in snowstorm in NYC?
Post by: Kahane-Was-Right BT on January 02, 2011, 11:23:10 AM
Bloomberg was literally too cheap to pay the crews to clear the snow.  So when people showed up for work after the 20 inches of snow, none of the roads were plowed or cleared.

And people were killed because of this.

I have friends and family that work in the city, they told me the roads weren't cleared.   It was on the news about why that was so.  (Not willing to pay).

There were then stories of people dying.

Then Bloomberg, who originally said he was doing all that he can, backtracked and admitted that they have to do a better job cleaning the streets, but him and his leadership team are the best people to run the city   :yuck:

I hate Bloomberg, but things are only slightly worse than they were with other mayors.  I took the train and the bus to visit a relative in Brooklyn and the bus schedule was uninterrupted yesterday.

If only people could be cheap in paying taxes. Of course it wouldn't be fair that some people don't pay taxes while I have to. Take a look at Wesley Snipes. He hasn't paid his, yet he wants other people to pay theirs.

I heard about the city clean up crew tearing up a parked SUV due to incompetence.
