I am not sanctioning gambling so if you are against it don't do it. Besides the likely hood of winning is nil.
But imagine if someone in jtf won the lottery.

Some days I think the lottery is a huge conspiracy to rip us off, that nobody even wins!
-
I sorry but any of us winning the lottery is like Israel finally destroying Iran's nuclear program. The latter may happen but us winning the lottery? Not a chance.

I am playing hopefully I may win

I know someone, personally, who won.

who decides what numbers are going to be the winning numbers

How much did they win?

Minor correction: tonight's Mega Millions jackpot is actually 355 million. Good luck y'all.

I thought you won the lotto, I was about to say "hook a brother up"
Anyones, I gambled once on a cruise ship and won 500 bucks, then I lost $550 plus another $60.00 on the liquor. Lesson of the day, don't drink and gamble.

Guess what Guess what?!!?!?!?!?!
I lost...

Ok. I could have sworn I saw the winners from another source and they were homeless scwartza bums so I deleted my previous post in light of being incorrect.

My grandfather used to say, "Gambling is a tax on idiots".
That being said I have played the lotto two or three times [at the most] and actually won $100 on my 18th birthday [I was excited to turn 18 and be legally allowed to buy what was previously contraband to me]. I also won over $150 within the first 5 minutes I was at a casino in Montreal when I was 19. -- I quit as soon as I won because I doubted I would win anything else and I only came with $20 so I was much better off than when I came.
My grandfather was also a renowned pool shark and if he bet it was not a gamble. I wish I could play pool like him. :P

I really don't think that playing the lottery could be considered gambling.

I don't doubt that someone wins it but your odds of winning the lottery are worse than being struck by lightning.

That being said, I did know a person who was struck by lightning multiple times. So anything can happen, even though the odds are quite bad.

But imagine if someone in jtf won the lottery.
Giving Tzaduka while buying my tickets did not result in winning tickets. The question is whether it canceled any of the sin of buying the tickets. If it was a sin at all. Of course it would have benefited JTF for me or anyone here to win. There is always next time the jackpot gets big.

I really have never heard of the idea that buying a lotto ticket is a sin, but hey what do I know, right?
Actually, I'm pretty convinced that that is not a sin!
