(USA TODAY) -- Veteran White House correspondent Helen Thomas, who resigned abruptly last year after making controversial remarks about Israel, is coming out of retirement to write a column for a small, Northern Virginia weekly newspaper.
The 90-year-old journalist, who covered the White House for 50 years, is writing on political affairs for the Falls Church News-Press. Her first column is about Social Security reform.
Thomas retired abruptly last year as a columnist for Hearst Newspaper following a firestorm over remarks she made about Israel.

You would think that getting so near the end of her life, she might start thinking about how her actions and words have affected other people. Like most evil people though, she probably has deluded herself that she was doing good all along. She'll have to answer for herself soon though.
