'Naughty lawyer' upsets neighbors

Residents in central Tel Aviv building upset by loud noises coming from S&M fan's home

Noise pollution is a well-known problem in Tel Aviv, yet residents of a building in the center of town are having trouble coping with a wholly different kind of nuisance.

 
A lawyer who lives in the building frequently invites women over to his apartment and proceeds to whip them, as part of his affinity for sadomasochistic relations. The whipping sounds and screams wake up the neighbors, but local police are largely helpless.

 
As of late, more and more compliments are being filed with the Tel Aviv police over the loud lawyer's actions. Time after time, police officers are dispatched to the site, yet by the time they arrive the lawyer completes his activity for the night.

 
A neighbor who lives in the floor below the lawyer's "love pad" says the phenomenon takes place every few nights and does not allow her to sleep.

 
"The first few times I heard the screaming from his home, I feared that something terrible happened," she told Ynet. "These are some awful female screams, coupled with the sounds of whipping. You can hear it very clearly in my apartment. It's impossible to live like that."

 
"I know this isn't an offense and that all the women who arrive there do so voluntarily, but I just want my peace and quiet," she said.

 
As the police have failed to address the problem, and as the naughty lawyer made it clear that he has no intention of finding a new hobby, the neighbor, who asked to remain anonymous, says she's rather helpless.

 
"He said it's his right and that he won't be stopping it. I don't know what to do," she said. "I can only say that I fail to understand why these women enjoy themselves. According to their screams at least, it sounds terrible."

 
The lawyer himself declined to offer his response to the report.

The neighbors need to take a page out of the old JDL playbook.
