I sure hope doggie purgatory will be ok for her.
No but really she was a good pet. I remember one time when I found out my grandfather passed away I was weeping. Cookie came by my side put her paws on lap and gave me a little lick on my face as if to console me like she understood I was sad for some reason.
I don't think there is a hell for animals. All are inherently good. Will get as smart as a two year old child. Pretty much have no free will to choose evil and naturally obedient if treated and trained properly much like a good person. They have something like a soul but not to the same extent as a human being. So I think a part them go some where to Gd while the rest of them returns to dust.i think it's impossible that trained animals are just dust in the end.
so cookie here's to you with your high fives and ra ra roos, knowing when to quit a game of tug of war and chasing after tennis balls I would throw 50 yards away from me and eventually you would tire out and not bring it back. Will miss you, buddy.

Sorry to hear that Dan Dogs are like family
Not nearly like family. Gd forbid but it would be much sadder if it were a family member.

I'm very sorry about Cookie, Dr. Dan.
I believe that family pets do become part of your family.
I still miss the dog I had growing up.
The little dog we have now is more 'human' than many people I know.

Sorry doctor dan, May God comfort you.

I am sorry to hear about your loss...

As a fellow dog owner, I can really empathize with your pain and loss. She'll meet you on the other side, one day. Good luck with your next puppy!

My condolences, Dr. Dan.
I hope much better times are ahead for you and your family.

Thanks for the condolences...It's all good.

Im sorry Dr. Dan I can relate to your story. many times growing up when I was upset, my dog would come up behind me to from around the back of my head in order to lick my face. I grew up with a father who could be quite crazy and my dog would always try to protect me, often taking the worst of it.

I know the feeling only too well Dan. Very sorry to hear that. :'(
