Former American Secretary of State Warren Christopher died on Saturday at the age of 85 due to complications from kidney and bladder cancer, CNN reported.

Christopher, who served in President Bill Clinton's first administration, was instrumental in forcing Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin to allow Yasser Arafat and the PLO back into Israel during the early 1990s.
