Ron Lauder Elected Head of World Jewish Congress

(IsraelNN.com) The World Jewish Congress elected billionaire Ron Lauder as president on Sunday. Lauder is a former United States ambassador, and 20 years ago established a foundation to rebuild Jewish life in central and eastern Europe. He will succeed Edgar Bronfman, who served as president for 28 years.

The World Jewish Congress is an organization dedicated to fighting anti-Semitism and helping Jews worldwide. Among its more well known campaigns have been the push to force the former USSR to allow Jews to emigrate, and efforts to get Holocaust victims’ assets returned by Swiss banks.

Is Ron Lauder to be considered Erev Rav simply for being part of the establishment?
